What Admission Maps is
Admission Maps connects people to events. You can browse events, ask to join them, and talk about them with the other people there — publicly, on an event's feed or a post, or privately, in a direct message. Hosts decide who comes in; guests decide what they share. That is the whole product.
- What is public
- Your @username and photo appear beside your own posts, comments and events, and on an event's guest list. Your events attended, your followers and the badges you have earned are visible to your connections by default. Your email address and phone number are never shown to anyone.
- What you control
- Every one of those is a switch you own in Settings, Privacy — who can see your profile, whether you appear by name on a guest list, what you show of your history. Change one at any time; each saves immediately.
- Being found by someone who has your number
- You can let people find you by the email address or phone number already in their own contacts. This is OFF unless you turn it on. When it is on, someone searching their contacts is shown your @username and photo — never your email address, never your phone number. Turn it off and new matches stop.
- Public and private discussion
- An event's feed and its posts are visible to the people who can see the event. Direct messages are between two people and only work between accepted connections — a stranger cannot message you first. You can block anyone, at any time.
- Trust is earned and specific
- Attendance is verified by check-in at the venue, by a code the host reads out, or by the host. Ratings come from events that actually happened, from both sides. A verified ID, an approved guest and a verified attendance are three separate things and are never collapsed into one label.
- Your data
- We keep what the product needs and nothing else. A contact list you search is not stored — the addresses are matched and discarded in the same request. You can delete your account and its personal data at any time; tickets and ratings stay attached to the events they belong to, shown as a deleted member.
